We are a B2B supplier of products used in every space of the modern office, offering countless items from classifications including innovation, kitchen and cleaning, furniture, print and marketing items and office supplies.
As a member of Family Business Australia (FBA) COS has been identified as a significant factor to the everyday life and future of Australians. Our sustainable business practices permit us to quickly utilize market developments and opportunities, enabling us to deliver customer care excellence.
The COS Story
COS was founded in 1976 by Dominique Lyone, the son of an Egyptian immigrant whose family fled to Australia after the 1967 6 Day War. Following in the footsteps of his daddy, the proprietor of a small typewriter repair work business, Dominique began a local office stationery business in Western Sydney. In those early days COS had 2 staff and the leading selling item was typewriter ribbon.
40 years of amazing growth
40 years later on COS offers over 21,000 products with over 350 staff, and offices and warehouses in every state and territory. COS is still owned and managed by Dominique, who is now joined by daughters Belinda and Amie who hold key executive roles.
COS’ growth and success is a testimony to Dominique’s drive, passion and vision. In 2014 he was among four finalists in the distinguished Ethnic Business Awards where the amazing growth of COS from a small business to a significant factor within the Australian economy was acknowledged and identified.
COS is now the largest 100% Australian owned and run National Office Products company. The exact same passion and innovative spirit which Dominique displayed 40 years ago still remain as core values in the way we work and support Australian neighborhoods.
